🚨
Device not hitting? Start here first.
This resolves the vast majority of "it doesn't work" reports.
1
Check the LED. Take a draw and look for a light at the bottom. If it activates, the battery and device are working — the issue is airflow or oil viscosity, not a defect.
2
Warm it up. Hold the device in your closed hand for 60–90 seconds. Thick distillate stiffens in cool temperatures and restricts airflow. Body heat alone solves the majority of restricted-draw complaints.
Especially effective first thing in the morning or in cooler environments.
3
Take 2–3 firm, deliberate draws. Don't expect vapor on the first pull — just draw firmly to create suction and get the oil moving. You may feel or hear a slight resistance clear — that's normal.
4
Blow gently through the mouthpiece. Exhale a short, gentle breath into the tip (don't inhale — blow in). This pushes any condensed oil back down toward the coil and reopens the airpath.
Wipe the tip clean before your next draw.
5
Still blocked? Use a pin or paperclip. Gently insert a straightened paperclip or sewing pin into the mouthpiece opening to break up any hardened oil. A light poke is all it takes — don't force it.
Wipe the tip and take a firm draw after to clear any loosened residue.
6
Still nothing? Plug it in. If the LED lights up, the device is alive and just needs a charge. Let it charge fully and try again. If there is zero response after trying a different cable, contact us.

Charging Your Device
✓
Use a standard 5V / 0.5A USB-C charger. This device charges at 0.5A — one of the lowest draw rates available. A basic wall adapter, laptop USB port, or standard power bank is perfect. If you purchased our charging cable add-on, it is already rated correctly.
Charge time is typically 30–45 minutes from low. The LED will flash when fully charged — unplug at that point.
✓
Keep the device generally upright while charging. Prop it against a wall or stable surface with the mouthpiece facing up. Never charge it on its side.
✓
Charge at room temperature. Anywhere between 50°F and 113°F is within spec. Avoid charging in a hot car or cold environment.
✓
Unplug when the LED starts flashing. Flashing means fully charged. The device does not auto-disconnect from power — leaving it plugged in after full charge stresses the cell.
✗
Do not use fast chargers. Quick Charge, USB-C PD, and high-wattage adapters (18W, 25W, 45W+) push far more than the 0.5A this device is designed for. This is the leading cause of premature battery failure and is not covered under any replacement.
When in doubt, plug into a laptop port. If your wall adapter is a newer phone charger, it's likely too powerful.
✗
Do not leave it charging overnight. Once the LED flashes fully charged, unplug it.
✗
Do not charge with an oily or dirty port. If distillate has reached the USB-C port, wipe it clean and let it dry completely before plugging in.
Using Your Device
✓
Check the viewing window before drawing. The teardrop window on the side shows remaining oil. If it looks empty, it probably is — stop drawing to avoid dry hits.
✓
Take slow, steady draws. Airflow-activated auto-draw fires the moment you inhale. Slow and controlled gets the best vapor from thick distillate.
✓
Warm it up before use, especially in cold environments. Hold it in your closed hand for 60–90 seconds. Cold oil restricts draw quality regardless of how well-built the device is.
✓
Pause a few seconds between draws. The ceramic wick needs a moment to re-saturate between pulls. Back-to-back draws without pausing can cause dry hits and degrade the coil over time.
✓
Store upright, mouthpiece up. The self-sealing flap mouthpiece is highly leak-resistant, but gravity still matters. Keep it mouthpiece-up whenever it's at rest.
✓
If a small amount of oil appears at the tip — wipe it off and keep using. Light condensation or seepage at the mouthpiece after being in a warm pocket is normal. It is not a defect.
✗
Do not leave in a hot car or direct sunlight. Even with improved seals, heat thins oil enough to cause migration. Parked cars regularly exceed 120°F. Always bring your device inside.
Ideal storage: 68°F–77°F, away from direct light.
✗
Do not draw when the viewing window shows empty. Firing a dry ceramic wick causes harsh taste and permanent coil damage.
Leaking & Storage
ℹ
This device has a self-sealing flap mouthpiece. It is designed to be leak-resistant. Minor tip condensation from body heat is still normal — wipe and use as normal.
ℹ
If more significant leaking occurred: Stand the device upright and let it return to room temperature for 15–30 minutes. The oil will re-pool toward the coil. Wipe the exterior and check the mouthpiece flap is fully seated before using again.
✗
Heat is still the primary cause of leaking. Even with improved seals, sustained high temperatures thin oil enough to cause migration. Keep it out of hot cars and direct sunlight.
✗
Do not store on its side or upside down. Always mouthpiece-up when at rest.

Common Issues
No vapor, no light — device seems completely dead.
Plug it in first. If the LED lights up solid, the device is alive and just needs a charge. Try a different USB-C cable if there's no response — a bad cable is a very common culprit. If there is absolutely zero response after 15 minutes on a known-good cable and appropriate charger, contact us.
The light comes on but I'm getting little or no vapor.
If the LED activates, the device is firing. The issue is almost always cold or thick oil restricting airflow — not a hardware problem. Warm the device in your closed hand for 60–90 seconds and try again. If airflow still feels restricted, work through the clog-clearing steps at the top of this guide. This device has a clog-proof airway design, so persistent clogs are usually thick cold oil rather than a hardware issue.
The LED flashed 10 times during my draw.
10 flashes during a draw is the low battery warning. The device is telling you it needs to be charged before your next session. Plug it in using a standard 5V / 0.5A USB-C charger and wait for the LED to start flashing, which means fully charged.
Device flashes 3 times when plugged in, then no charging light.
Three flashes on plug-in means the device's short-circuit protection triggered — it detected a bad connection at the port. This is almost always oil residue in the port, a poor cable, or an incompatible charger. Work through these steps:
Step 1 — Clean the port. Unplug and inspect the USB-C port. Use a dry toothpick to gently clear any residue. If you have isopropyl alcohol (90%+), lightly dampen a cotton swab tip, clean the port, and let it dry for at least 5 minutes.
Step 2 — Check your charger and cable. Use a standard 5V / 0.5A USB-C adapter only. If you purchased our charging cable add-on, use that. High-wattage chargers can trigger the short-circuit protection.
Step 3 — Plug back in and watch the LED. Correct charging shows a solid light. If it flashes 3 times again and goes dark, repeat the port cleaning and let it sit longer.
If the device continues to flash 3 times after cleaning the port and confirming a compatible charger — the port or internal components may be damaged. Contact us with a description of each step completed.

Battery seems to die faster than expected.
The most common cause is using a fast charger. This device charges at only 0.5A — high-wattage adapters degrade the small cell quickly, sometimes within just a few cycles. Switch to a standard low-output USB-C charger immediately. If you purchased our charging cable add-on, use that. Also make sure you are unplugging as soon as the LED starts flashing rather than leaving it plugged in.
Oil appeared at the mouthpiece or outside feels sticky.
A small amount of oil at the tip is normal — especially after carrying it in a warm pocket. Wipe it off and keep using it. This device has a self-sealing flap mouthpiece which greatly reduces leaking compared to older designs. If heavier leaking occurred, stand it upright, let it cool to room temperature, and check the mouthpiece flap is fully seated. Significant leaking is almost always a heat or storage issue.
Harsh or burnt taste on the draw.
A harsh taste means the ceramic wick fired without enough oil — a dry hit. This happens from drawing too many times back-to-back without pausing, or when the tank is nearly empty. Check the viewing window — if the oil level is very low or you can't see any, the tank is likely empty. Stop drawing immediately if the taste turns harsh. Let the device sit upright for a few minutes so oil can re-saturate the wick. Continued dry firing permanently damages the heating element and is not covered under replacement.
